The rooms were reasonably spacious and spotless. the hotel had Wi-Fi, a TV set, and a hairdryer. - the central location was close to the sea, turtles, black tip reef sharks, and wildlife.

Excellent service from staff and very, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening buffet were both very good with lots of choices and the service again excellent. The location and setting for the hotel is very nice and the view from our 3rd floor delux room balaony very good. Our kids really enjoyed the freedom to run around the hotel and gardens and the small beach. The pool is large and great fun and very clean and the gardens kept clean and in good order. All the staff could not have been more helpful. For a 4 star hotel the prices are very reasonable with lots of choice for wine and food. Good value for money for a short family holiday.
The evening entertainment was not really well organised and not very stimulating with no atmosphere and very few people attending in the evenings. Not a place to go to for evening fun. It's more for families and a quiet holiday. The triple delux room we had was too small really for a family of four - we should have taken a suite. The hotel is modern and refurbished very nicely but it could have been anywhere and is not a real 'Sri Lankan Experience'. The sea around the small beach is clean and clear but the coral has all been destroyed so the snorkelling is very poor. Not a good place for snorkelling. For scuba diving you will have to go to one of the diving facilities near to the hotel.

This was a wonderful stay for four nights. The morning breakfast was marvellous and delicious with fruits and a sri-lankan option, for example. The location of the property was marvellous, in most parts except for the ones in the "buffet " resturant. The place was well priced.

Great food and friendly staff
Poor design of the room balcony. We stayed in room # 123 and balcony was wet for ever because water was falling down from upper rooms. Was no use of balcony at all. Never stay in ground floor rooms.

The hotel was safe and perfect in every respect. the staff, from senior management down, were outstandingly accommodating. the superior room was huge and had coffee, effective air conditioning, and a superb balcony.

a real luxury place to be in all ways. Excellent Spa, aswell as Fitness. Very friendly service all through the hotel. Very good breakfeast. Beautifull view !! Enjoying all this, makes you feel like new and really relaxed.
All the hotels in Sri Lanka have a discrimination problem when you arrive with local friends even if you know these friends long time. When you appear as a coulored/mixed couple it immediately gives discrimination problems, which are very difficult to overcome!!! So be aware... here it was less than in Negombo/ Club DolphinHotel!! in which there were so rude, that I turned around and cancelled my booking!!!!

The location was excellent, all roooms had a balcony with a sea view. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good. The hotel was on the beach.
The bathrooom could have been more plush and cleaner. Also we arrived on a Saturday at lunch time. There was a huge group of day trippers during that time. They had completely taken over every part of the hotel, were playing blaring music and were very loud and rowdy. We were a bit alarmed by the noise and crowds, but the manager assured us they would leave by 6pm and they did. Everything was fine after that.

This very beautiful beach hotel in Hikkaduwa we really enjoyed. But apparently when we reach to the hotel our reservation thru booking . com has not send the confirmation to the hotel. That because we have to make that day hotel charges and and very difficulty to get a room on such a day. Finally I have to toke to jkh Head office and get the confirmation for the balance day'S.

Hotel grounds and facilities were excellent, the pool staff and bar staff were very attentive. The Crabs restaurant was excellent, the food very good and reasonably priced.
The crows around the pool and garden were an annoyance, further exasperated by the hotel staff using fireworks to scare the crows. Reception staff were slow to attend and gave us the wrong information regarding a late checkout.
